Festival of Design & Engineering 2025

KDC Projects was pleased to sponsor and attend the Festival of Design & Engineering 2025 at Bournemouth University this July. Based just down the road in Bournemouth ourselves, we’ve worked closely with the university for several years — so it was a real pleasure to be part of an event that shines a light on the region’s emerging engineering and design talent.

We attended the Thursday evening showcase. It was a great opportunity to reflect on the role of engineering in industry and how businesses like ours can support and collaborate with the next generation of engineers and designers.

Supporting Local Innovation

The event gave us a chance to connect with students, staff and other industry partners in an informal setting. It’s always inspiring to see the variety and creativity of the final-year projects on display — and encouraging to see such strong practical thinking applied to real-world challenges.

As a local business, it’s important for us to support this kind of initiative. It helps us stay in tune with academic thinking, spot up-and-coming talent, and stay visible to the future workforce.

A Meaningful Evening

The evening was relaxed, well-attended and full of positive conversation. We appreciated the chance to be involved, both as a sponsor and as a guest, and we look forward to continuing our work with Bournemouth University in the months ahead.
