Requirement 

Airbus required independent safety assurance to support their ZEROe Development Centre project. KDC were engaged to support safety activities through the preparation of safety analyses & documentation for hydrogen aviation technologies and associated systems.

Skills & tools 

• Safety engineering modelling and design assurance development for hydrogen aviation technologies and associated systems.
• Development of safety assessments, engineering models, and associated documentation in support of Airbus ZEROe technology development activities.

Tasking

Perform safety modelling, hazard analyses, and risk assessments to support the development of hydrogen aviation technologies and associated systems. Ensure alignment of safety activities with programme-levelsystem requirements and overall facility architecture.

Deliverables 

Manage the maturation and cycle release of safety artefacts in support of Airbus ZEROe Development centre activities, including, Hazard Logs, Functional Safety Analyses, Physical Safety Assessments, and Supporting Safety documentation.

Outcome 

KDC delivered independent safety support & assurance activities aligned with programme lifecycle maturity through the flexible deployment of SQEP safety engineering resource, with Safety Report delivery planned in accordance with programme milestones.
