Last week, KDC Projects took part in the WEAF Annual Conference & Expo 2025 at the Winter Gardens Pavilion in Weston-super-Mare.

Last week, KDC Projects took part in the WEAF Annual Conference & Expo 2025 at the Winter Gardens Pavilion in Weston-super-Mare. The event brought together organisations from across the aerospace and advanced engineering sector, with a full programme of talks, networking and exhibition activity.

We also attended the evening networking dinner, which offered a more informal setting to connect with fellow delegates and industry contacts ahead of the main day. It was a well-paced evening, with time to speak with a wide range of people from across the supply chain.

A Valuable Day All Round

The conference covered a broad mix of topics — including digital transformation, sustainability, and regional growth — giving us a current view of the challenges and priorities being shared across the industry. The speaker line-up featured perspectives from major OEMs, government representatives and local suppliers, which helped give balance to the conversations throughout the day.

Exhibiting gave us the opportunity to highlight what KDC Projects is currently working on and to hear first-hand from others in the sector about their direction of travel.

Taking part in events like this helps keep us connected to the wider context of the work we do day to day. It was encouraging to see so much activity in the region, and we came away with useful insight, new contacts and a clear sense of momentum across the Southwest aerospace cluster.
